Isle of Que River Guides carry a line of eight Emotion Kayaks for rental, four of the boats are single sit-on-top boats, two are single sit-on-top boats set up for fishing kayaks and two are two person sit-on-top kayaks. All of the boats are exceptional touring and recreational kayaks. The single boats are known as the Temptation and Stealth models and the two person boats are the Tandemonium model.
The Tandemonium boats could seat a child as a third passenger and are considered the SUV of the kayak models. Sit-on-top boats are the perfect platform for less experienced paddlers as they cannot sink and even if flipped over will remain floating on top of the water for a perfect safety platform.
Our kayak rental program is designed for use from our boat landing as your put-in and take-out point. If you desire to rent a kayak and transport it to another put-in or take-out point you must arrange your own transportation to and from either point. Isle of Que River Guides will provide you with area river maps that have various water trails marked on the map and allow the paddlers the option of choosing 2hr. 4hr. or 6hr. trips. Paddling is a physically demanding activity and all water trails require some up stream paddling so we advise you plan your day based on the degree of the paddling experience of those in your party. The use of kayaks will provide you with the additional stealth necessary to be able to see birds and other wildlife seldom seen by other power boaters.
Isle of Que River Guides will consider guiding small groups of kayakers for a day trip on the river; these trips will include interpretative narrative and educational programs if requested. Please call for scheduling at least 30 days in advance and for guide pricing.
Appropriate footware and clothing should be worn...be prepared to experience some degree of getting wet as kayaking is a watersport.
