At Isle of Que River Guides slow and easy is our style, fishing from our 20’ open jon boat & 15 hp motor offers our fishermen a stable platform that is able to access even the most shallow sections of the river. Guide Jim Charles has lived on the Isle of Que for over 60 years providing him with a vast knowledge of this section of the Susquehanna River. Jim believes some of the fishing basics never go out of style and that your day on the river should be relaxing not stressful. You will not jet around the river looking for the next hot spot, but move methodically from one small pocket to another fishing water often overlooked by others. Lures, Jigs and Flies are the primary baits, on some occasions live bait may be provided but usually limited to catfish fishing. All fishing tackle and baits will be provided by the guide, however we recommend you bring the tackle you are familiar with and let us supplement baits we find successful. Bass and Walleye are the primary game fish however, other species may be caught. If you desire to target a specific species please let us know so we can plan your trip accordingly. Fly fishermen should be prepared to wade in shallow warm water, waders are not necessary unless you prefer wearing them.
Fly fishing from the boat is an option but would be limited to one fisherman at a time. We fish about a 10 mile section of the river but keep in mind the river is almost a mile wide on the main stem. This provides a vast area to fish, also keep in mind that we are close enough to the confluence of the West & North Branches of the river that water conditions are like two separate rivers, the west side clear water and the east side stained water. Both sides provide unique habitat conditions for fishing.
  
Isle of Que River Guides practices catch and release of all Small Mouth Bass and Musky. Walleye are limited to 2 fish per fisherman with a slot of 15” to 20” all smaller or larger fish will be released. All other species may be harvested based on Pa. fishing regulations.

- Sun Screen
- Wading Shoes & Dry Shoes.
- Required Medications
- Camera
